WaveX uses cookies and similar technologies (including the browser's local storage) on usewavex.com to run your account, keep it secure and remember your settings. What follows is what the site actually uses.
1. Categories
- Strictly necessary: signing in, sessions, protection against forged requests and the basic operation of the site. Always active.
- Functional: remembering your settings and preferences (language, how the dashboard looks, the last selected pair, continuing a conversation with support).
- Analytics: WaveX does not use analytics cookies or third-party analytics services. Its own visit statistics are collected without cookies and without storing the IP address (see the Privacy Policy for details).
- Marketing and advertising: WaveX does not use any.
2. What is stored in your browser
- authjs.session-token (cookie, with the __Secure- prefix on secure connections): your session after you sign in. Strictly necessary. Kept for the length of the sign-in session (by default up to 30 days) and removed when you sign out;
- authjs.csrf-token and authjs.callback-url (cookies): protection against forged requests at sign-in and the address to return to after signing in. Strictly necessary, session-only;
- NEXT_LOCALE (cookie): your chosen interface language. Functional, kept for 1 year;
- signal_ref (cookie): the code of the partner whose link you used to arrive, so the partner link can be credited when you register. Set only if you followed a valid partner link, kept for 90 days, not accessible to page scripts;
- wavex_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage): your choice in the cookie banner. Strictly necessary;
- wavex:sidebar-collapsed and wavex:last-pair (local storage): whether the side menu is collapsed and the last selected trading pair. Functional;
- signal_support_conversation_id (local storage): the number of your support conversation so you can continue it next time. Functional;
- wx_ref_sent (tab session storage): a marker that the referring site has already been counted in visit statistics for this session. Removed when the tab is closed.
3. Third-party services
The sign-in and registration pages use the Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, and Telegram may be used to sign in. The technical data these services use to operate is outside WaveX's control and is described in their own policies. No third-party advertising or analytics services are connected to the site.
4. Consent and the banner
On your first visit a banner is shown with the buttons "Accept all", "Reject optional" and "Customize". Declining is as easy as accepting. At the moment the site has no optional (analytics or marketing) technologies, so your choice in the banner does not switch anything off; it is saved and will apply to any optional technologies if they are added. If such technologies are added, they will not be turned on before you choose.
5. How to change your choice
You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of the site. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but without strictly necessary cookies, signing in and some features will not work.
